This is the 2nd part of our update about what it is like to work with Anita Inventories.  Today, Maria shares her experiences:

Hi. My name is Maria Loskor.  I have been lucky enough to work at Anita Inventories as an Inventory Clerk since October 2023.

It wasn’t easy to find a ‘big’ job (a full time role in a company where I could grow) at my young age.  In my day to day life, I face many challenges and disadvantages when it comes to wanting to apply for roles as many people assume I am ‘too young’ or simply take one look at my brown complexion and think “she’s not good enough”.

After taking on a few part-time roles, I wanted to expand my career into the bigger world and start my first big job. It was definitely not easy. I applied for a great many roles – the number of applications reached double digits, but nobody wanted to take me on, even with all my previous transferable work experience.

After tirelessly searching, I was fortunate enough to receive a call from Anita Inventories about a role. I was very open-minded but also wary as I was still insecure from my other rejected applications. But, the team made me feel so comfortable and didn’t (and have never) made me feel like I was not included even with me being the most inexperienced.

It’s rare for a company to take on an individual who lacks experience, but they accepted me for me and gave me rigorous training which helped me to understand the high standards Anita Inventories works to.  I couldn’t be happier!
